* Separate troubleshooting for Advanced users and Beginners.

Let us assume that you are in a LAN
your computer name is andy,
and u want to connect remote computer name canno1 in a lan that has printer, You want to use canno1 for printing. But unfortunately that was not working. See image below

WHAT TO DO ????

FOLLOW BELOW PROCEDURE.


Procedure 1: ping canno1 computer

sit before Andy-computer
a).Start->enter "cmd" in search box without quotes now right click on cmd.exe choose runas Administrator continue...
b). Now you can see black screen, enter like this "ping canno1"


You will get message like Reply from .......

Meaning slightly no network problem.



If above fails then goto procedure2

Procedure 2: Check usb cable that was attached to printer computer(Printer to computer USB cable)



ping is working usb cable attached.Still printer is not working then follow

Procedure 3:

Procedure3: Check drivers on canno1 computer

step 1:check is their any yellow mark

Install drivers provided by manufacture.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:Some times due to virus you cannot able to install drivers. Then run system restore.

START-> enter "sytem restore" without quotes in search box(Choose restore points on which date your system workes well).Follow below link(Note: In below link start from middle that is start->enter "system restore"......)

Eventhough you installed drivers but still not working  then goto procedure5

 Procedure 5:Printer spooler error

Procedure6:Check viruses 

Regularly update your antivirus.Scan it, If you found any virus remove it.All the time don't depend on one antivirus software choose different one.

Procedure7:Check Date and time on both computers(andy,canno1)

goto Procedure8: Check cable with other computer


Check cable with other computer
Remove that cable from Andy computer connect to another computer(Sandy-computer).Check printing from other computer(Sandy-computer).Other computer name is Sandy It was not in above image.

 Still problem exist

goto Procedure9: (Even though you are accessing files from remote computer or ping is working, Some times you need to change cable.Meaning cable damaged-change your cable.)
